I painted this a few years back with watercolor. I love the rich use of color.
Let me know what you think.
Thanks.

I am a published poet and short story writer. I have been published in SNHU's the penmen review. https://penmenreview.com/author/jenny-andrews is the link where you can find my poetry and a short story. Currently, I am writing a collection of short stories, and a collection of poetry. I am trying my hand at writing a novel. Well, not a novel, actually. Make that two novels. My passion is writing. My inspiration is Franz Krafka because he managed to see the absurdity of life. Life is all about perspective and who is telling the story. We all see this life through the lens of our experiences. Literature should inspire us to think, to analyze, and to get lost in unfamiliar worlds in which we learn something new about this human existence. It is my hope that my writing challenges the reader to think, and to see a different perspective, as well as be entertained. My faith in Jesus strengthens me and gives me the courage to survive the twists and turns of this life. My faith influences a lot of my writing in that goodness always triumphs over evil, in that love conquers all. I hope you enjoy reading my blog. I see lots of colors and I think your painting symbolizes hope. Hope that mankind will overcome this pandemic and we’ll smile again.
How are you doing Jenny?

Thank you, Mercy for your comments. Life is a beautiful tapestry, although there will always be problems we will always survive.
I am doing well. Thank you for asking. The college where I teach has gone online so I am able to still teach. I started back on Monday and am thankful that I still have my job. I prefer the actual classroom, but I am very happy to have my job. I pray for those who have lost everything in this pandemic.
How are you? I pray that all is well with you and your family.

Great to know Jenny that you are doing well and you are still teaching. We fine are too Jenny, thanks for asking however I’m a bit worried about the quarantine period in my country. It was meant to last for 2weeks but has been extended to 3weeks.

Quarantine is becoming a hot-button topic in my town. There has been talk of extending it until May 15th. Problem with that is that people need to get back to work-especially restaurant workers, coffee shop workers, etc. In fact, yesterday there were actually protests with people marching and carrying signs demanding that we all be allowed to get back to normal. It is definitely frustrating. I think there has to be a balance between public health and economic stability. I wish governments would fast track testing and hurry to develop a vaccine. Quarantine an entire country is not sustainable.

Very nice!! I haven’t painted a lot. I basically play with oil pastels and see what comes from my imagination. I’m good enough to be abstract art lol.

It often frustrates me because I’ll make something awesome and then I’ll mess it up trying make it better…

I’ve learned to leave things alone whenever I get the urge (or compulsion) to make my writing or painting exactly perfect. I’ve learned that there is no perfect. I have to stop myself. . .or I’ll just keep changing things. Thanks for stopping by.
